Carmen

Carmen:
Born around May 2004, adopted September 13, 2004

Carmen (Ramona's sister) came from the Southern Indiana Guinea Pig Rescue as well. We decided to keep her name from the rescue. (She has a great opera voice when picked up.) She's apparently an Abby/Peruvian or Sheltie mix... which means lots of haircuts in her future. She gets along well with everyone, and is less fearful than she was when we first adopted her. Carmen bonded to Harold and stayed with him until the end of his life.

Ramona

Ramona:
Born around May 2004, adopted September 13, 2004

Ramona came from the Southern Indiana Guinea Pig Rescue. We decided to keep her name from the rescue. Ramona is much braver than her sister, and is the herd "Spokespig." She has the ability to detect us at great distances and will rocket out of her hiding spot and demand food at the first hint of a plastic bag rattle. The others are content to sit back and see what Ramona can negotiate out of us.

Silky

Silky:
Adopted February 24, 2008

Silky was adopted from a Fark.com user who was looking for a good home for her two pigs. Every once in a while she will chirp like a bird. We haven't figured out why she does that.

Little Bit

Little Bit:
Adopted February 24, 2008

Little Bit was also in need of a home with her cage-mate Silky. Amusingly, she's the largest pig we have.
